About Rendez-vous Magazine
Rendez-Vous en Asie - The Magazine (RVAM) is a free, monthly, bilingual (English & Japanese) magazine launched in 2011 under the framework project "Rendez Vous en Asie," a platform for promoting cultural exchange through art, music and fashion.
Edited and written in Tokyo by a pluricultural team including Japanese members, thus reflecting the inclusive philosophy of the project “Rendez-Vous en Asie,” RVAM offers a clear and objective overview of cross-cultural issues and events intersecting three regions: Asia (Japan), Africa and the Caribbean.
RVAM includes several sections: the editorial, which chronicles news across African; the country of the month section, which presents cultural aspects of a country in the three regions; and a photo novella, which traces the lives of Africans and Caribbeans living harmoniously in Japan.
The magazine also contains supplementary sections such as African proverbs, events (related to Africa-Japan or Caribbean-Japan relations), and announcements.
RVAM is published via a digital version (available Online) and hard-copy edition (5000 copies distributed across Japan). The online magazine can also be accessed via social networks such as Facebook. Future editions will be made available on mobile devices.
Rendez-Vous en Asie - The Magazine (RVAM)は、アート、音楽、ファッションを通じた文化交流を促進する為の基盤である"Rendez Vous en Asie"プロジェクトの構想の下に2011年に作られた無料の月刊バイリンガル（英語＆日本語）雑誌です。RVAMは、“Rendez-Vous en Asie” の哲学をまさに反映した、日本人を含む多数の文化のバックグラウンドを持つチームにより東京で編集、執筆されており、アジア（日本）、アフリカとカリブの3つの地域の問題や出来事についてのクリアーで客観的な概観についての情報を提供しています。RVAMにはいくつかのセクションがあります。
論説ではアフリカのニュースについて述べられ、今月の国では前述の3つの地域にある国についての文化的面についてご紹介し、写真小説では日本で平和に暮らすアフリカ人やカリブの人々の生活を追います。他にも、アフリカのことわざ、イベント情報（アフリカと日本もしくはカリブと日本の関係に関わるもの）やお知らせなどのセクションもあります。RVAMはデジタルバージョンでも発行され（オンラインで閲覧可能）、印刷されたバージョンもあります（日本で5000部配布されています）。
オンラインマガジンは、Facebookなどのソーシャルネットワークからもアクセス可能です。将来的にはモバイルバージョンも発行予定です。
